Project Risk Management

The RAS team has significant experience in undertaking Project Management and Project Assurance / Risk Assessment work on individual projects or across major Programmes.

A number of our staff are Prince2 certified and have undertaken project management roles for clients.  We have project managed the consolidation of a company’s financial reporting process through the conversion of its chart of accounts to strategically align to global practices and regulatory reporting requirements.  The project involved the mapping and testing of multiple account structures and interaction with all stakeholders. We have also acted in the role of Project Director over a major payroll remediation project to rectify a failed project.  RAS has experienced project risk managers who have conducted extensive project risk management assignments and a number of pre-implementation and post-implementation reviews.

We have detailed experience in the review of general IT and application controls, data conversions and probity assurance over a number of different IT Platforms and infrastructure projects.  RAS staff have assisted clients to create their business case for the identification, selection and implementation of operational and strategic solutions.

This process involves the facilitation of a number of workshops with executives and stakeholders to identify key information requirements for a business case, including:
benefits (both qualitative and quantitative);
- validate project boundaries (scope);
- determine project governance structure, roles and accountabilities;
- document existing frustrations and issues;
- undertake a preliminary risk assessment;
- identify functional, process, user (people), technology requirements;
- initial costs, budgets and timeframes; and
- identification of key resources.

RAS has developed business cases using our own specifically tailored Project Management Methodology, which is based on the key principles of both Prince2 and PMBok.
